Feature Photogher Larry Mart

Larry’s interest in photography began at age 12 when his older brother introduced him to darkroom processing and printing of black & white photos. Wanting to pursue a career in the arts, but actually flunking art class, he settled on cameras and film as his media.

Larry won multiple National Scholastic photo awards in high school in northern Ohio and studied photography at Ohio University. After serving in the US Navy he attended and graduated from the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California with a major in photo illustration. Offered a job in Dallas, Larry became a Texan and worked as a commercial photographer for advertising agencies. His pictures have appeared in local, national and international advertisements.

Larry moved to Sun City in the spring of 2005 and is again enjoying photography as a hobby, only today the cameras are digital and the darkroom is a computer.
