Tom Ommen moved to Georgetown in 2001 after a career as a university teacher of Religious Studies. He has been taking pictures since high school, starting with an Argus C3 and moving through a variety of film cameras to a Pentax digital SLR five years ago. His best photos have been taken traveling and on field trips with the Sun City Photography Club. He especially likes portraits of family and of people in new unfamiliar cultures. The chicken seller photo in this show is an example of the picture he loves to stumble upon.
