I left the role of family photo-historian behind when I spent 12 years living in Florida where "my life" was performing with a tap dance team I started. Moving to Sun City five years ago, I received a new digital camera two years later, joined the photography club, and my life has changed.

Photography is now my eye for my surroundings, deepening my appreciation for life. What others see as boring or simple, I find to be a photo opportunity. Going on club field trips, opens new visual opportunities I would never have thought to be thrilling or picturesque.

I march to my own "photo drummer" by going forward with my own style of shooting-no favorite. When exciting photographic opportunities happen, I go with the flow, enjoy the experiment, and hope and pray I have a respectable picture.

I find it awesome to see the style and creativity of my fellow photography friends. They motivate me to improve my craft-no longer feeling intimidated by photography lingual; enjoying the challenge of editing: and appreciating the learning critiques.

I love wearing my "photography hat" and am finding it hard to take it off!
