Feature Photographer Rich Lovaas

My photographic history is a long skinny one with a very slow start, a slow middle and but picks up momentum when I retired to Sun City. I took my first self -declared “good” picture with a borrowed Brownie Starflash in the late ‘60s. Lately I’ve been trying to grow into a Nikon D200. I’ve always liked nature, landscapes and vacation shots but SOMs have helped me move into new areas: people, for instance. I still have trouble with: 1. showing content vs. cropping 2. blowing out whites.

I continue to learn good stuff from SIGs and SOMs and enjoy seeing other members’ very fine work. I’ve come to value being a Photo Club member and participating in the activities.
