I have enjoyed taking pictures since receiving my first camera as a gift, (you guessed it) a Brownie. Since then I have pursued the hobby on and off over the years. It wasn’t until the development of the digital camera that I really began to have fun and enjoy the individual creativity that digital photography has made possible.

One major advantage of the digital photo process is being able improve your images using a number of software applications. I find the editing process rewarding and satisfying using Adobe elements. I have also invested in the equipment required to print, mat and frame my images, which can be frustrating at times, but equally rewarding.

I don’t have a preference for a specific subject category. I enjoy shooting all subjects that I think are interesting and that I feel may be of interest to others.  If, however, I had to select a characteristic for the selection of a subject, it would have to be color.

Much of the credit for my interest and enjoyment of photography has to be given to my fellow club members.  Their willingness to share their experience has benefitted me greatly.
