Feature Photographer Chris Meyer

I was born and raised in Durban, South Africa. After graduating I took a job in African marketing which enabled me to visit some very desolate areas of the country, where there were numerous opportunities to photograph wildlife, indigenous tribesmen and rugged landscapes.

My interest in photography increased when I was able to travel to Europe; an added bonus was meeting my wife in London.

We lived in South Africa for several years before immigrating to the US in 1979. I started my own business which unfortunately did not allow me to fully pursue my hobby.

Retiring to Sun City from Houston and joining our Club has rekindled my interest. Our recent trips to Australia, New Zealand, the British Isles and extensive travel in the US provided me with many opportunities.

I currently use a Nikon D60 and finish my pictures in Photoshop Elements
