I am a Michigan transplant who just could not take the cold weather any longer. I originally moved to Houston with my family, where I lived and worked for 28 years. I moved to Sun City two years ago to change my lifestyle as well as be closer to my only son who lives in Cedar Park. Good move since I am now enjoying my first grandchildren - twin boys, 11 months old.

I've always enjoyed taking pictures as far back as I can remember, however, I believe my real interest perked when my son began playing soccer. I recall that I had a 35mm Pentax camera. Every Saturday during soccer season, I was the mother on the sidelines who was trying to get action shots of my son and his friends. Considering my level of expertise at the time (which was nil), I have some memorable shots.

Currently, on a priority level, I would say photography is second to my grandbabies. It's not as easy as I would have imagined, however, I think I'm making progress with the help of the Photography Club, my friends, and trial and error. My favorite subjects are photojournalism and children. I guess you might say I'm inspired most by the emotional aspect of what my pictures portray.
