After receiving a BSEE from the University of Texas, John’s engineering and sales career took him to numerous locations on the West Coast and in the Southwest. He loves to travel and enjoys photographing the area he lives in and travels to as a means of recording travels, experiences, family and friends. His first significant camera use was with an Argus C3 in the 50's when he occasionally used his bathroom to process slides. He has used computers and digital cameras since shortly after they became commercially available, but now feels really challenged by all of the new digital photo editing techniques, trying hard to keep somewhat up-to-date. A past Photoshop instructor for the Computer Club, he is currently the leader of the Photography Club's Advanced Photoshop SIG.

John has been a resident of Sun City Texas for almost fourteen years, and is an active member of the Photography, Computer, Solos, Zoomers, and Country Western Dance Clubs.
