Tillie and I moved to Sun City 2 ½ years ago from Garland and Lone Star, TX. I had not sold my house in Garland when we married in 1998. We were still moving from Lone Star two weeks ago.

I retired from J. Y. Taylor Manufacturing where I started working as a sixteen year old who packed boxes in the summer and retired as Vice President 47 years later in 1994.
I joined the Photography Club because I had always enjoyed taking pictures and because Tillie had given me a digital camera for Christmas and I needed help turning it on.
My first mistake was letting Tillie join me at the Photography Club meeting. If you know Tillie you know she gets excited learning about new things. Photography and digital cameras were new to her. She borrowed my new camera and didn’t buy me a new one for three months.
During that three months and since I have learned a great deal about photography and have even won a couple of blue ribbons for my work.
Prior to joining Sun City Photography Club I just took pictures and occasionally took a good one. Now I know what a good picture looks like before I take it; that doesn’t make it any easier to take one.
