Don Stephens' image 'LATE AFTERNOON RAIN CLOUDS' won a First Place Award in the Annual GSCCC End of Year Competition.  His image was also selected by GSCCC to advance to the 2008 PSA Councils Challenge as one as one of several competing on behalf of GSCCC.  Congratulations Don. click here to see Don's work

Wes Odell received an Honorable Mention for his Color Print, Snake River at the Tetons, in the March 2008 PSA Picture of the month.

Don Stephens received a 1st Place for Pictorial Slides in the March 2008 GSCCC.  Don’s image, Late Afternoon Rain Clouds, can be viewed on the PC website/GSCCC Results link.

April 2008 from Watson Studio Gallery in Johnson City, TX - The jurors have completed judging all of the images for the Urban Ambience Exhibition.  There were over 170 images submitted from all over the US, Canada and Europe. Wes Odell won Picture of the Month in the February 2008 PSA competition.  Wes Odell also won a Third Place for B&W prints and Marge Odell won a Third Place for Color prints. http://www.psaphoto.org/pom-gallery/

Tyler Crowder received a 3rd Place and Larry Mart received a 1st Honorable Mention for Pictorial Prints Black & White in the February 2008 GSCCC.

Don Stephens scored another "acceptance" in PSA competition at the 39th Greater Lynn International (Massachusetts).  Winners of this year's competition have not been posted to the Internet yet, but last years winners can be viewed at http://greaterlynnphoto.org/InternationalPhotos.html .

In the January PSA "Photograph of the Month" Contest, Wes Odell won a Certificate of Award for a Third Place in Color Prints with his "Park City Barn." In the same month he won another Certificate of Award for his Second Place in Monochrome Prints for his picture, "The Survivor."  His photograph of monk at prayer, "Dignity," won an Honorable Mention in Monochrome Prints. Each month members may submit two images in Color and two in Monochrome.

Jim Bilbro is one of nineteen artists accepted into the Menage a Trois Exhibition at the Watson Studio Gallery in Johnson City, TX.  In addition to being accepted among the 63 entrants, Jim won an honorable mention for his trio of images. The Exhibition will be on display thru April 13, 2008.

Don Stephens scored an "acceptance" in the PSA sponsored 75th Wilmington  (DE)  International  Exhibition  of Photography.  Award winners can be viewed at http://delawarephotographicsociety.org/wiep/archives.html

Vickie Martin,  Mark Holly and Marlene Sloan had images accepted for the City of Richardson Photography Contest Exhibit at the City of Richardson Public Library thru February 26, 2008.  Vickie Martin received a 2nd place for Waterscape/color. Mark Holly received a 2nd place for Flora & Fauna/color and a 2nd place for Scenic/color.   Marlene Sloan received a 2nd place for Scenic /black & white and honorable mention for Cityscape/color.

Marge Odell was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Photographic Society of America Monthly “Picture of the Month” contest in January in the Color Division for her “An Olympic Venue.” 

Roy McDonald received 2nd place in Pictorial – Projected Digital and 3rd place in Pictorial  Slides for the month of January 2008 GSCCC.    Roy also won 3rd place in Pictorial Slides at the 2007 End of Year GSCCC Competition.  

Wes Odell, has prints in the Water: Metaphor, Myth, and Meaning exhibition at the Walkers' Gallery of the San Marcos Activity Center from January 11 to February 29, 2008. The exhibition is sponsored by the San Marcos Arts Area Council and the City of San Marcos with support from the San Marcos Arts Commission.  

Ben Farmer had images accepted by the Walkers' Gallery of the San Marcos Activity Center for the "Water: Metaphor, Myth, and Meaning" exhibition that is on display through February 29. 

Tillie Farmer had images accepted by the Walkers' Gallery of the San Marcos Activity Center for the "Water:  Metaphor, Myth, and Meaning" exhibition that is on display through February 29. 

Wes Odell had prints accepted for "High and Dry: A photographic exhibition of landscapes and people of the world's dry lands" sponsored by the International Cultural Center of Texas Tech University's Office of International Affairs. The exhibit will be on display from December 7, 2007 - January 17, 2007.

Wes Odell was awarded two Honorable Mentions by the Photographic Society of America’s (PSA) Monthly “Picture of the Month” Contest in November.  In the Color Division, it was his “On the Way to Vespers,” and it was “Shrimp Boats Ready to Sail” in the Monochrome Division. 

Mark Holly received 2nd place in Nature - Projected Images for the month of November 2007 GSCCC.   

Marge and Wes Odell were invited to hold a two-person exhibit of 65 photographs at the Healing Arts Gallery of the St. David’s/Georgetown Hospital for the month of October. 

Wes Odell had work accepted for the Skies & Travel Over Central Texas exhibit at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The exhibition runs from October 24, 2007 to January 22, 2008.

Wes Odell had work represented at the Third annual Naturescapes contest and exhibition sponsored by the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance. The exhibition will be at the San Marcos Activity Center through October 26, 2007. 

A First Place Rosette and cash prize were awarded to Wes Odell in the Photography Division at the Bartlett Texas Annual Town Festival and Fair with his Black and White picture of “The Loneliest Tree” from Zion National Park. 

Roy McDonald won Honorable Mention for PhotoJournalism – Projected Images for October 2007 GSCCC Competition 

For GSCCC Competition Mark Holly won 2nd place for Pictorial Prints Color, Don Stephens won Third Place in Pictorial Slides and Roy McDonald won a First Honorable Mention in Photojournalism and a Second Honorable Mention in Pictorial Slides.
