Photography Club
Sun City Texas
The Sun City Photography Club members came up big winners again in the City of Richardson’s Annual Contest. This contest has attracted club members for several years, but this year we did particularly well. It is a mature contest, attracting hundreds of entries, mainly from the Dallas metropolitan area. Images compete in Youth, Adult, and Proficient Divisions, with about a dozen different entry Categories in each, including both Black and White, and Color.
This year four Photography Club members each won two ribbons:
Adult Division:
Ruby Pecot 1st Place Abstract (color)
“Fish Faces”
Ruby Pecot Honorable Mention Architecture (color) “Byodo-In
Temple”
Holly Moore 1st Place Composite (color) "Dance of the
Poppies"
Holly Moore Honorable Mention Still Life (color) “Composite
and Old Friend”
Proficient Division:
Vicki Martin 3rd Place Children (color)
“Blue Eyes”
Vicki Martin Honorable Mention People (color) “Entwined”
Wes Odell 2nd Place People (Black and White) “Dignity”
Wes Odell Honorable Mention Waterscape (B&W) “Above the Fog”
All of these winning images will soon be on exhibit in a Photography Club venue in Sun City.
Entry is easy since no framing is necessary. Any size image, attached flat to a 16” x 20” foam core with no top-matting is all that is necessary. These then are hung on walls in the City of Richardson Office Building/Library with small velcroix tabs.
