Focus Galleries

Ranch Gates

Georgetown Courthouse Square

Focus Galleries are single subject galleries containing submitted photos by club members. To assure quality and subject adherence a curator (generally the person who originally suggested the idea) accepts the digital images and maintains the gallery, with the aid of the webmaster.  We are testing this concept with a single gallery.

We invite you to submit your digital pictures of Ranch Gates to Charlie Byers (chbyers@yahoo.com) or deliver a disk or thumb drive to the porch bench at 103 Great Frontier. There is no time limit. Just send interesting high quality images. I prefer landscape format, but will accept portrait. Send JPGs with a caption title and your name in the file name and we will do the rest.  "To get the general idea, click on the "Texas Ranch Gates" title above." The current offering is to some extent a placeholder and much of the curator’s work will melt away as we add better quality pictures to the gallery.  We are using a free site called Galbum with links to the photo club site. Our hope is that the outside exposure will be beneficial.  We plan to maintain this gallery for at least six months. We need your participation to make this gallery interesting.   Charlie

NEW SINGLE SUBJECT GALLERY

I am preparing to put up a second Single Subject Gallery on the web site. This time we will exhibit our best pictures of the Courthouse Square.  It is one of the best-preserved most photogenic I have run across, so why not brag about it.  I am thinking along the lines of pictures of the square and those taken on the square within one block.  I know you all have loads of good pictures, so why not send me four or five and I will put together a picture of our county seat. Same rules as SOM.  Charlie
