After thirty-five years as a professional potter, I came to Sun City in 2001 and began to explore the many possibilities available in the arts. My husband, Roddy Wilder, was a photographer and suggested I join the Photography Club. Because I always loved taking family pictures for my genealogy hobby, it was the natural direction to go. The Photography Club and the Computer Photoshop Elements Classes have helped me grow tremendously in a short time. Hiking trips and other excursions are exciting when I can capture a special scene with my trusty camera.
My favorite subjects are nature and people. It’s also fun to experiment with what the computer can do, to take an ordinary photo and then play with filters and other features in Photoshop to make an exciting and unusual photographic work of art.
